Internet Big Daddy Google is now facing its biggest Battle against European Antitrust Officials against a Case for doing Cheating in its Algorithm for the Searches.
Google has been fined $2.7 Billion (2.43 Billion Euro) as per the leaks for unfair trades. It is a New Record making Fine made by the Antitrust Officials on Google.
The Investigators was working on this Project since 2010, which was started by some other Competitors of Google. It is said that Google is unfairly Manipulating searches since 2008. Which is such a time period?
The project against Google was launched seven years back. The Commission on Tuesday urged this as the "biggest even financial penalty" in oppose of Internet Tech Giant against breaking EU Competition Law.
Hence by the Search Dominance, the Twist is that Search Engine results promote their own shopping comparison Services on the Top of all searches results.
"Comparison Shopping Services depend to a large extent on Traffic to be competitive." European Commission says in a Press Release.
And also it says that: "The evidence shows that consumers click far more often on results that are more visible, i.e. the results appearing higher up in the Google's search results. More traffic leads to more Clicks and Generates Revenue".
Commission also said that the Fine or the Amount of Penalty has been calculated from Google's income by the analysis and the calculation for its services in Europe. As per the News, the total revenue of Google by 2016 was almost $90 Billion.
And apart from these things like from the fine, the Commission has ordered Google to "Stop its illegal conduct on Google Search Results", and Anti-Competitive Practices within 3 Months. They have given the Dead Line to the Google, otherwise in future, if it is not stopped then further Penalty up to 5% of the Daily Average on Worldwide turnover can be paid by Google.
So now Google has to take care of its Search Algorithm and now Company has appealed this Decision in the EU Courts to delay the Resolution for years. "We respectfully disagree with the conclusion announced today. We will review the Commission's Decision in the Details as we consider an appeal, and we look forward to continuing to make our case." The words are said by the Google Spokesperson in a statement.
However, Google is now facing two other ongoing EU Antitrust Investigations. And also one said that Google Android is unfair for the Mobile Manufactures as the Google Services comes in a Pre-Installed on the Device to promote itself over the Rivals.
And another Investigation targets Adsense Business.
It is said to be the biggest Antitrust Fine as per the News the Previous Antitrust was against Chip-making Company Intel in 2009 of $1 Billion.
